Organization of the Day
 

Greeting Time

Families are greeted upon arrival, which is from 6:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.  Any concerns or special instructions given by the family are written in the classroom notebook. Children have classroom exploration until Circle Time.

Circle Time

This is when the theme and concepts are introduced. The children also have classroom exploration at this time.

Breakfast Time

Breakfast is prepared in the kitchen and eaten in the classroom.  Breakfast is served from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Morning Activity/Outside Time

Weather permitting, the children will go outside. Their experience may be gross motor activities, playing in groups, or going for a walk around the community.

Lunch Time

Lunch is served between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.  Their meal is prepared in the kitchen and served in the classroom.

Nap Time

Nap time is generally from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The length of each child's nap varies, but all of the children do sleep. Soothing music is played while the children nap.

Snack Time

After nap the children prepare for afternoon snack, which is eaten between 2:40 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Outside Time

If the weather permits, the children go to the playground for gross motor activities.  Our Playground offers opportunities to climb, explore, create, experiment, and play with water tables, sand tables, art easels, tire swings, slides, tubes, and basketball. We have a nature area that provides opportunities to explore gardening, bird houses, bird baths, bug hunts, nature walks.

Late Afternoon/Going Home

During this time the children are making the transition from TLC to their home when their families arrive.  Special messages and highlights of the day are shared with families through the Toddler Daily sheet and conversations with the teachers.

Diapers are checked and changed throughout the day
