Older Infants

Organization of the Day

Greeting Time

Families are greeted upon arrival from 6:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.  Children was their hands upon entering the classroom.  Any concerns or special instructions the family may have are discussed and written in the class notebook.  During this time children are free to explore the classroom.

Snack Time

The children are offered an early morning snack at 7:10 a.m.

Circle Time

During circle time the children are introduced to the weekly theme as well as the concepts they are working on.  At this time they also participate in classroom exploration.

Breakfast Time

Breakfast is eaten between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.  Breakfast is prepared in the kitchen and eaten in the classroom.

Outside Time

Weather permitting, the children experience gross motor play in their outdoor playground. They also go for walks around the community.

Lunch Time

Lunch is prepared in the kitchen and eaten in the classroom between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Nap Time

Nap time is from 12:30 p.m. to  2:30 p.m.  The children take naps as needed or as directed by their family. 

Snack  Time

Afternoon snack is served from 2:40 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The snack is prepared in the kitchen and served in the classroom.

Outside Time

Weather permitting the children will go outside from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., where they are able to participate in gross motor activities.

Late Afternoon/Going Home

Between 3:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. the children make the transition from TLC to their home when their families arrive.  Special messages and highlights of the day are shared with families through the Daily sheet and conversations with the teachers.

Diapering

Diapers are checked and changed as needed throughout the day.
